The Rear Areas (North)

CD-ROM containing over 65 high resolution images of complete German, French and British trenchmaps and extracts.

Covering the areas to the rear (showing rear defences, encampments, hutments, stores, railways, etc in many cases) of the northern Western Front frontline (mainly behind the British front, though some German rear areas are also included), the area covered by these maps ranges from the Belgian coast (from Ostende to Bray Dunes), through parts of the rear of the Yser front and the Ypres salient, down through the areas to the south of Ploegsteert/Armentieres. In scales of 1:5,000 , 1:10,000 and 1:20,000, some of the extracts are from the much sought after "secret" editions and are extremely scarce. Dates range between 1916 and the Autumn of 1918.
